THiLO spent the first 20 years of his life in the children's corner of his parents' bookshop. He then travelled in Africa, Asia and Central America before successfully touring with friends as a cabaret trio. Today THILO lives in Mainz with his family and writes stories and scripts for TV programmes.

was born in 1960 in Herford and studied Visual Communication and Graphic Arts. She has been working as a freelance illustrator for many years, concentrating more and more on children's and teenagers' books publishing houses since the birth of her daughter.
