Alexandra Fischer-Hunold was born in 1966 in Düsseldorf. After studying German and English she worked at a travel guide publisher in Cologne. She is now a successful author of children's books. Alexandra Fischer-Hunold lives with her husband, daughter and her dog in Münster.

Illustrator
Betina Gotzen-Beek was born in 1965. Already in kindergarten she discovered her love for painting and drawing. After travelling Europe she studied art and graphic design and eventually became a children's book illustrator. She currently lives with her family in Freiburg.
