Manfred Mai
born in 1949 in Winterlingen, grew up on a farm. As a child, he had no appreciation for books, and the thought of going to college never entered his mind. After finishing school, he did an apprenticeship as a painter in a factory. But he did not really enjoy it. He became more and more discontented and started searching for new horizons. During this time, he discovered his passion for books. He read and learnt much, became a teacher and finally an author. Today, Manfred Mai lives with his wife and his two daughters in beautiful Swabia.
