Heike Schwandt grew up in Hanau, and studied geo-ecology before working as a journalist and author. She lives with her husband, daughter and four cats in the romantic little town of Thurnau in Upper Frankonia. Beautiful sleepy places often seem to inspire angry and thrilling stories; consequently, Heike Schwandt has been inspired to write detective stories from early on. "Without me, you can’t live" is her first teen thriller.
